On April 22, 1970, the world celebrated the first Earth Day. 20 million Americans – 10 percent of the US population at the time – gathered to raise awareness about the importance of protecting our planet for the upcoming generations. 

We all probably imagined celebrating the 50th anniversary of this environmental movement a little differently. But even when we’re physically separated from each other, we can still appreciate the beauty of our wonderful planet from our homes.
