It’s been 90 years since astronomer Clyde W. Tombaugh discovered Pluto at the Lowell Observatory in Flagstaff, Arizona. For a long time, Pluto was believed to be the 9th planet of our Solar System. But in 2006, just as other celestial bodies the same size of Pluto were discovered, it was demoted to a dwarf planet.
